Dave Canny
David has worked as an outdoor educator, marine scientist, SCUBA instructor, and underwater naturalist.  He earned an environmental and evolutionary biology degree from Dartmouth College and a master of environmental policy and management degree from Duke University.  He was a Sea Grant fellow with the National Ocean Service's Special Projects Office.  He has also worked as a consulting scientist for the Marine Conservation Biology Institute and the Comission for Environmental Cooperation.  Currently, he is working for the National Marine Protected Areas Science Institute.  David is an avid photographer and is interested in both local and large-scale conservation and sustainability projects.

William Forney
Having grown up bruised and dirty from playing outdoors, Will has been pursuing his career interest in environmental land use issues for over 10 years.  In his formal education, he obtained a dual degree from Princeton University in American Politics and Economics with a focus on pollution prevention.  For graduate work, he obtained a master of environmental science and managment from Duke University with a focus on terrestrial resources and landscape ecology.  He has gained professional experience with organizations such as the US Geological Survey's Center for Science Policy, the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency's Long Term Planning Division, the design-build firm Planning and Architecture, the World Wildlife Fund's Biodiversity Conservation Network, and the Naturalists at Large.  A self-taught photographer, he has been refining his technique and building his stock for over 20 years.  His interests include teaching about the natural and anthropogenic worlds and applying conservation and sustainablility ideas both locally and globally.
